She loved climbing the stairs to the clubhouse roof. =) Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03032716510025626085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7192431664537672353.post-86923278019528329622013-06-20T12:52:49.162-07:002013-06-20T12:52:49.162-07:00Melissa, thank you so much! Good for you for letting go-- it can be so hard, but is such a part of life.

I so appreciate your words about my writing, Melissa! And we should get our kiddos together sometime soon! I feel the same when it comes ...Another great post! I feel the same when it comes to how I perceive my worth or how much I contribute, especially when I stopped working after having our daughter. I was afraid of what my clients would think of me. I told them I would be back after 3 months off, then decided I was going to stay home. Paying for two in daycare wouldn't have been economically smart for our family. I felt I let them down. I was a hairstylist, a position of making others feel good. I did it for 15 years at the same salon. I didn't leave, even after all the complaining to my husband about crap that went on. I thought, "I just want to work alone! I'm so tired of doing what others tell me!" I never did anything about it. I was afraid that nobody would follow me and afraid of change. But, I eventually "let it go." My career and my feelings about leaving. Your words contribute a great deal to all of those who read them! You are a great writer! You help me realize I'm not the only one with these feelings. I would gladly pay to read your blog and any books you write! I look forward to the "Writing the Waves...Again" emails! ;DAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03032716510025626085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7192431664537672353.post-49728974654392598682013-06-20T06:56:46.214-07:002013-06-20T06:56:46.214-07:00I like that perspective, Jen. And thank you so much for your kind words about my writing. I admire what you're doing with your blog and your work! Sometimes I think we fear success. All I can say is that you write beautifully, Lynn, and you should do what your heart tells you to do. Like a lot better. It's something we can all do. So your job is not serving anybody. And neither is the fear. But I totally get it. I want to get my ideas out there and maybe nobody cares or I'm on the wrong track. Plus the attention does actually scare me. But my belief that we all have something to contribute keeps me going. I hope that this might help you too. Fear will be there but we don't have to let it push us around. Talking about it is a great step, so thanks for getting this conversation going. See how doing what you love is already contributing??? xoxoxoxHannah Curtishttp://www.newapproachesme.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7192431664537672353.post-8044788502360438712013-06-16T11:25:51.084-07:002013-06-16T11:25:51.084-07:00Thank you Paula, for your thoughtful words! I think that being a writer is a very unstructured thing, and writing in and of itself is an almost limitless invitation to deep contemplation, without beginning or end. I have so much respect & appreciation for your writing, & I think that the world is a better place because of your creativity! I think fear is something to be conquered daily, and seems to especially happen when we are able to give ourselves credit for what we have already accomplished, and just for being our cool selves. You are one of the most interesting people I've ever known, and I hope you give yourself tons of credit for just how cool you are. More power to whatever you choose! I know you'll hate this idea, but I bet all of your friends would love to pay to read your blog, or to do some kind of interactive writing forum with you. <3 All my love xoxoxPaula Gregovichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10997203916986718345noreply@blogger.com
